Kazeneza starts second year of college

This December, Kazeneza completed her first year of studies at the University of Kigali. She worked and studied with diligence, particularly during the challenges of the pandemic.

She finished with a “B” average. She is thrilled to begin her second year of studies.

On June 19, 2021, the Women’s Education Initiative board members met Kaze face-to-face via Zoom across 10 time zones. It was wonderful for us to see one another’s smiles and learn more about Kaze’s student life and studies.

Here is a breakdown of the expenses for Kaze’s second year of classes.

Kaze (Upper right) chats with WEI board members

Registration and Tuition: appx. USD $ 850

Food and transportation: appx. USD $1,200

Housing off campus: appx. USD $400

We sent Kaze USD $2560 to fund her education for a second year. If you would like to contribute to Kaze’s scholarship and success, consider the expenses I’ve listed. Any donation goes a long way to help Kaze and help WEI support future scholars.

We wish you all a blessed and healthy new year.

Thank you,

Cheryl
Founder and president, Women’s Education Initiative.
