Davidetta Graduates
We are so happy to announce that Davidetta has completed her bachelor’s degree in social work at Mother Patern College of Health Sciences in Monrovia, Liberia! Over the course of her education, she also completed an internship at a hospital as an intern social worker.
The Next Phase of Kaze’s Education
It has always been clear that Kaze’s Advanced (A1) Diploma was a bridge to the next phase of her education. Since graduating from Integrated Polytechnic Regional College in May, she has been volunteering at the Rwanda Education Board and waiting for more funds so that she can apply to the Adventist University of Central Africa (AUCA) in Kigali, Rwanda.

We took some time recently to reach out to our past and current scholarship recipients to see how they are doing with their education, and in general with COVID-19. Below is an update from Michelle about where she is at in her studies:
Leah Starts a Store
Leah has opened a small store near her home. She's such an entrepreneur. It's now been 13 years since she graduated in 2007. My parents gave her a refrigerator as a graduation gift. It cost $250. She's still using it :)
Congratulations Kaze!
We are thrilled to announce that Kaze has graduated from IPRC Rwanda with a degree in electronics and electrical engineering.
Kaze Completes Internship
We received an update from Kaze— she just completed her summer internship at Rwanda Broadcasting Agency. Kaze is returning to school at Integrated Polytechnic Regional College in Kigali, Rwanda in the fall, and will be graduating in October of this year
Leah Graduates with her Master’s Degree
Leah has earned her Masters in Education at Southern Capital College in Oroquieta City, Philippines.
New Board Member: Welcome Praveena!
We are excited to announce our newest board member, Praveena Somasundaram. In 2018, Praveena graduated from the Early College at Guilford in Greensboro, where she was features editor of the student newspaper, The Guilfordian, and earned a fellowship from the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting that allowed her to spend a summer reporting in India.
