Davidetta pursues a master’s degree
In September, Davidetta informed us that she received official acceptance to the University of Ghana School of Graduate Studies in Accra, where she will pursue a master’s degree in social work.
Funding Kaze’s Next Two Years of Studies
As of our December board meeting, WEI has approved funds to support Kaze return to school. She will be attending the University of Kigali starting March 21, 2020 to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Information and Technology. This is a two-year program.

We took some time recently to reach out to our past and current scholarship recipients to see how they are doing with their education, and in general with COVID-19. Below is an update from Michelle about where she is at in her studies:
Kaze Completes Internship
We received an update from Kaze— she just completed her summer internship at Rwanda Broadcasting Agency. Kaze is returning to school at Integrated Polytechnic Regional College in Kigali, Rwanda in the fall, and will be graduating in October of this year

I am very grateful for the help you people have provided for me during the last two semesters, the semesters was amazing and I had time to attend all of my classes, I wish I could volunteer with you guys during vacation to prove what I have learned and to help others.
New Scholarship for N’tuma
Let us introduce you to N'tuma Bangura, 22, from Freetown, Sierra Leone. We are proud to offer Ms. Bangura a scholarship to attend university and study medicine. In her application essay she wrote: "It is my dream to establish a medical centre that will care for the less privileged..."
